Light It Up

This was truly a magical Valentines Day! Dan and I went out to Trout Lake Washington a super small little town with an epic view of Mt Adams. We had never ventured out to this part of Washington before and given the holiday I thought why not my it a fun Valentines adventure. We didn't only luck out with an awesome hotel for the night that still had a room 2 days before valentines, it was also crystal clear that night, and the cherry on top was that the Aurora showed up.

This is the bit where I really have to praise Dan for being the best partner ever as when the Aurora peaked we had already been out shooting, already warmed up again, got into pjs and were ready for bed. But I was playin with my phone before we went to sleep and my phone said "the northern lights are viewable in your area" and with excitement I jumped up and started getting changed and Dan smiled and joined for the last minute adventure back out into the 20 degree winter air once again. I'm sure you'll agree the adventure was totally worth it.
