Fire Sky Mt Hood Signature Collection

My Signature Collection is a framing technique that I came up with to showcase my artwork. 

  • It uses a high quality double frame, the top frame has a black oxidized finish on a textured metallic base.  The second frame gives a little hint of color with a metallic finish.
  • The frame is around a double float print.  The bottom layer is a lower opacity archival print and has the primary photo float mounted on top and really makes the picture stand out.
  • To protect the art piece we use high quality museum glass to keep away 99% of harmful UV rays and an anti-reflect coating to insure a reflection free viewing of the artwork.
  • These are signed and numbered limited editions of 50.
  • Artwork is ready to hang with pinch free hanging wire.

Sometimes you just hit the right place at the right time. When I went down to Oregon to photograph Mt. Hood I ran into a ton of traffic, and instead of being an hour before sunset I drove up right at sunset. As I turned down the road a storm started brewing, but it hadn't hit at the lake yet. The sky was already catching on fire with the sunset, so I rushed to get my camera and capture it before the sunset passed. Sunset doesn't normally last very long, so time was of the essence. I was stoked that the image came together, and just a few minutes after I took this shot it started pouring rain.

  • The listed dimensions is the size the picture will be, if you want a border around the print, you will need to select that option under the styles tab.
  • Material Selection (what they all mean)
    • Photo Prints are gallery quality photo prints, you can choose either a luster sheen or glossy finish. 
    • Fine Art Papers are a high quality thick textured paper.  If you want a lighter texture go for the Epson Hot Press for a watercolor style texture you will want the Epson Cold Press  
    • Metal Prints are a color popping aluminum photo panel that infuses the inks into the coating on the metal.  The amazing vibrant colors make this a popular way to showcase the art. 
    • Acrylic Prints are another popular way to allow the artwork to sing.  These prints are face-mounted onto plexiglass and have polished edges.  Many finishing options to choose from.
    • Canvas Wrapped are Fine Art Prints printed directly onto canvas material.  The print is then wrapped around an artist's stretcher frame, and finished with your choice of hanging hardware.  Float Frames are a great way to complete the look  of a Canvas Wrapped Print.
